We've debuted on the WFTDA rankings for the first time! Shore Points Roller Derby is currently #201 in the world. Congratulations to our All-Stars on the blood, sweat, and bruises they put into leaving it all on the track in order to earn this rank!
A lot of hard work has gone into this milestone, on and OFF the track. We want to extend our thanks to every volunteer, official, friend, family member, and fan who has been there to support us and help us reach our goals. Thank you to the leadership, coaches, captains, and skaters for your dedication to the sport.
There have been many members of Shore Points throughout the years since our founding in 2007 - and every single member's hard work has lead to this moment. Let's take a moment to congratulate everyone involved on a job well done.

Our first ever WFTDA-sanctioned tournament is in the books! When the Rock Coast Rollers annou8nced they would be hosting the Coastal Chaos tournament in Maine, we jumped at the opportunity to play. We were ready for the challenge of new opponents and tournament play.
We played 3 challenging games in 3 days, losing our first two games by a very small margin, and finally ending the weekend with a win. We have learned a lot, and we're looking forward to improving our skills.
We are also excited to see how we debut on the WFTDA rankings, having officially made the requirements to be eligible.

The Ventnor Educational Community Complex was full of screaming fans, smiling faces, and hard hits last night at SPRD's first ever WFTDA Sanctioned bout versus the Rock Coast Rollers of Rockland, Maine.
Our All-Stars gave their all, and the game was back and forth throughout, but Rock Coast clinched it at the end of the 2nd half.

On October 25th, the SPRD All-Stars take on the Rock Coast Rollers of Rockland Maine in a never-before-seen match up. SPRD has been training hard to take on this new opponent, because this will be our first ever Sanctioned Bout. You don't want to miss this!

What's a sanctioned game? WFTDA, our governing organization, breaks it down on their website: "A WFTDA-sanctioned bout is a regulation match played between the chartered, or "all-star," teams from two different member leagues. These matches are reviewed by WFTDA Games officials before they are granted sanctioning, and the results of the bout count towards the leagues' ranking."www.WFTDA.com

The All Stars have been training hard for this formidable opponent, so get ready for big hits and bigger stategy. The Block Party and SPRD have met before - who will win this time?

As of March 11th, 2014, Shore Points Roller Derby has been officially accepted into the WFTDA! This is a huge step in our quest and we are beyond excited to move into the next chapter of Shore Points Roller Derby!
